Meet Buck Buchanan

Business Career

After graduation from college, Buck moved to Atlanta to take a management job with Greyhound Lines. He was promoted three times in four years. He changed industries in 1980, leaving the transportation business to manage the sale and distribution of construction products with Sto Corporation. He remained with Sto for 15 years, working his way up from a sales representative to a vice president. He also served on the management team.

In 1996, Buck took a management job at Parex USA, another construction products company. During his time at Parex, he held several management positions and served on the company’s management team. In 2005, he became the vice president of the Façade Division. During his time as the divisional manager, sales exceed $100 million. Unfortunately, during the economic crisis of 2008, sales declined. Buck and the team were forced to reorganize the business. The business began to improve in 2011. In 2014, he moved out of managing the division and was promoted to the position of senior vice president. In this capacity, he oversaw several support functions such as international business development, acquisitions, research and development, supply chain, customer service, and several specialty sales teams. In 2017, he retired from the company and started Buchanan Business Consulting LLC, using his 40 years of experience in helping customers.
